Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold seen in the wild for the first time sporting official case
Various details about the Pixel 9 Pro Fold have emerged in the lsat few days. To recap, @OnLeaks partnered with 91mobiles and Android Headlines to reveal countless promotional images as well as the device's first launch advert. Subsequently, equivalent details about the Pixel Watch 3 and Google's new 45 W charger have emerged online, which we have covered separately.
Now, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold has been spotted out and about for the first time. For context, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is Google's second foldable smartphone after last year's release of the Pixel Fold (curr. $849.66 - refurbished on Amazon). While the original Pixel Fold has a passport-esque form factor, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold has been rumoured to adopt a form factor closer to that of the OnePlus Open, which the image below reinforces.
Reportedly, this photo was cribbed from a private Facebook group and was shot from afar at a Starbucks in Taiwan. Unfortunately, neither Android Authority nor Mishaal Rahman have provided any other details in this regard. Nonetheless, the photo tallies with recent leaks in which the Pixel 9 Pro Fold has been shown to unfold completely flat, unlike its predecessor. Also, the photo appears to show the device's two launch colours, one of the device itself in Obsidian, and the other through its Porcelain official case.
