Google Pixel 9 to start at €749 with 256 GB storage as launch bonuses and discounts for Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL also revealed

Leaker @billbil_kun has revealed more details about Google's launch plans for its Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL smartphones. To recap, the leaker shared Eurozone pricing for the three smartphones last month, which they supplemented with equivalent information about the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This time, they have outlined launch promotions for Google's next flagship smartphones, albeit not for its Pixel Fold (curr. $849.66 refurbished on Amazon) successor.

As expected, pre-orders for the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL will commence shortly after Google's launch event on August 13, initial details of which the company outlined last month. Supposedly, Google will provide a range of launch discounts and bonuses between then and September 5, which is presumably when pre-orders will begin shipping. However, there will be a further offer that will run until at least December 2024.

Specifically, the trio will be offered with 256 GB of storage by default instead of 128 GB until September 5, an effective €100 saving. Moreover, while Google will provide a €150 trade-in bonus when purchasing the Pixel 9, this will increase to €200 for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. On top of that, new YouTube Premium and Fitbit Premium customers will receive three and six-month free subscriptions, respectively.

Similarly, Pixel 9 orders before December 2024 will receive six months' worth of Google One AI Premium with 2 TB of cloud storage. By contrast, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL will come with twelve months of the same subscription. Incidentally, Fitbit Premium is included with Google One in some markets. Regardless, these bonuses and deals should reduce the effective launch prices of all three Pixel 9 smartphones; unfortunately, equivalent details relating to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold have not leaked yet.
