iPhone 16 Pro leak hints at significant battery upgrades across the lineup
As the iPhone launch season approaches, information regarding Apple's upcoming flagships regularly surfaces on the internet. According to a recent leak by seasoned tipster Instant Digital via Weibo, Apple's upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will likely feature substantial battery capacity improvements.
The current iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max feature 3,274 and 4,424 mAh batteries respectively. According to Instant Digital, the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro will flaunt a larger 3,577 mAh battery, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will sport a 4,676 mAh battery. These are decent increases over the current generation, with the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max getting 9.2% and 5.7% larger batteries respectively.
The iPhone 16 series will most likely boast Apple's upcoming A18 SoC, which is expected to bring along performance and efficiency improvements. Coupled with these beefier batteries, the iPhone 16 Pro series is expected to not just build upon, but dramatically enhance the already excellent battery life of the iPhone 15 Pro series.
