Google Pixel 9 Pro XL revealed in hands-on photos with new 3,000-nit OLED display and 42 MP selfie camera
The launch of Google's next flagships is fast approaching. While the company itself has gone a little quiet in the last few weeks after teasing Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel Fold (curr. $1,249.99 on Amazon) successors, established leakers continue to share more details ahead of next Tuesday's Made by Google event.
For example, @MysteryLupin has shared more photos of the Pixel 9 Pro XL, the largest non-foldable option in the Pixel 9 series. Having already published countless render images of the device and its peers, the leaker has now switched to leaking photos of the Pixel 9 Pro XL actually in use, which we have embedded below.

Not only that, but the same X (formerly Twitter) account has outlined more specifications, some of which contradict earlier reports. Specifically, @MysteryLupin alleges that Google has actually installed a 6.8-inch OLED display and not a 6.73-inch equivalent that has been mentioned previously. Moreover, the leaker asserts that this panel outputs natively at 2,992 x 1,344 pixels with 3,000 nits peak brightness, along with a presumed 120 Hz refresh rate.
On top of that, @MysteryLupin believes that Google has protected the Pixel 9 Pro XL's display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 glass. Furthermore, the leaker reiterates earlier expectations, such as the inclusion of 16 GB of RAM, Tensor G4 and Titan M2 chipsets, plus the following camera hardware:
- Primary: 50 MP (f/1.68)
- Ultra-wide-angle: 48 MP (f/2.8) (123-degree FoV)
- Telephoto: 48 MP (f/2.8) (5x optical)
- Selfie: 42 MP (f/2.2)
