The latest Garmin heart rate monitor, the HRM-Fit, has been leaked via online retailers ahead of its expected CES 2024 launch. The new model has been designed for a more comfortable fit for sports bra wearers, clipping directly onto the clothing rather than sitting alongside it. As well as heart rate tracking, you can use the wearable to monitor other workout metrics.

The Garmin HRM-Fit Heart Rate Monitor has leaked via several retailers. Rumors about the device began last year, with a US patent application showing a chest-based wearable gadget with a different attachment style. The model is named after its design, allowing it to be worn on a sports bra for a more comfortable fit.

The HRM-Fit clips onto your clothing at three anchor points, with Garmin recommending you use it with a medium or high support sports bra and avoiding longline, zip front and light support options. The new model has similar functionality to the older HRM-Dual heart rate strap. For example, the HRM-Fit passes highly accurate real-time heart rate data to compatible devices via ANT+ and Bluetooth. Plus, you can use the gadget to track other workout metrics such as vertical oscillations, ground contact time and stride length.

A CR3032 battery powers the HRM-Fit for up to one year. The gadget is 33.5 cm (~13.2-in) long, weighs 1.9 oz (~53 g) and is water resistant up to 50 ft (~15 m). Customers can now buy the fitness tracking wearable at Running Warehouse in the US for $149.99. The gadget is expected to be officially revealed at CES alongside the recently leaked Lily 2 smartwatch.
