Garmin is rolling out a beta update for Garmin Connect. The latest version of the mobile app and website are currently only available to “select customers”, with a broader rollout planned for the future. Features include the Today’s Activity summary, At a Glance health metrics and built-in Challenges.

The Garmin Connect mobile app and website are receiving a makeover via a beta update. The company hopes the new look is easier to navigate with improved personalization. The latest software includes various new features to help you achieve your health and wellness goals.

The Garmin Connect beta shows Today’s Activity, a summary of exercise you have completed that day, upcoming scheduled workouts and any events happening in the next day or two. In Focus provides a top-level view of health statistics like Body Battery, sleep score and training status, and Events shows information like a countdown clock to help you ensure your preparations stay on track. At a Glance allows you to choose metrics to quickly view in one place, with a wide range of options, including heart rate, steps, hydration, fitness age, VO2 max and training load. Plus, Training Plans can be used to check your workout schedule progress, and Challenges let you get competitive with friends and family.

According to Garmin, only “select customers” can try the new beta version of Garmin Connect at this time. The company’s selection criteria are unclear, though it appears to encompass those using smartwatches, bike computers and other accessories. A wider public rollout is expected later this year, though an exact date has not been provided.
