The Garmin HRM-Fit has officially launched in countries around the world. The new gadget has been designed for sports bra wearers, providing a more comfortable fit than other models. The device can track your heart rate, running dynamics, step count, and calorie burn.

Garmin has officially launched the HRM-Fit heart rate monitor. The product leaked earlier this year, with initial rumors about the device surfacing last year. The gadget has a clip-on design for sports bra wearers, which should make it more comfortable than older models.

The heart rate monitor transmits real-time data to Garmin apps and compatible devices and can be used during running, cycling, HIIT, strength training and other workouts. Plus, you can use the gadget to track running dynamics, step count, calorie burn, intensity minutes and all-day heart rate. If you are working out indoors on a treadmill or track, the monitor can measure your pace and distance, and you can train without your smartwatch in some cases. The gadget is relatively lightweight at 1.9 oz (~53 g) and is powered for up to 12 months, assuming one hour's daily use, by a CR2032 battery.

Garmin recommends using the HRM-Fit with medium- and high-support sports bras and has provided a Sports Bra Fit Guide to ensure you get accurate measurements from the device. The wearable is compatible with over 200 other Garmin devices, including smartwatches, bike computers and handheld GPS accessories. However, Garmin notes that not all smartwatches support more advanced features like capturing running dynamics. You can buy the Garmin HRM-Fit heart rate monitor for $149.99/£139.99/€159.99. The device is available via retailers like Amazon, though it is currently listed as "Temporarily out of stock". Garmin has also recently launched the Lily 2 smartwatch.
