GameSir's new Fortnite-themed mobile controller makes an early appearance

A new Fortnite edition of the GameSir X5 Lite mobile controller for Xbox appears to be on the way. New Amazon listings show several designs inspired by the game, including Durr Burger, Black Knight, and Jonesy. This would give the recently announced Xbox-licensed controller more options beyond its standard black and white colors and green Xbox 25th Anniversary Edition.

From the product images, the Fortnite treatment extends beyond a few logos. For one, the Black Knight version combines a dark translucent shell with red thumbsticks and ABXY buttons, along with themed graphics on the grips to match the iconic skin. The Durr Burger model takes a more colorful approach, with a teal body, orange controls, and burger-themed artwork. Both retain the Xbox button on the right grip and the same telescopic design as the regular model.

As we covered previously, the X5 Lite for Xbox brings several changes over the original X5 Lite, including MFi certification and physically swappable ABXY buttons. It also features Hall effect sticks and analog triggers, a movable USB-C connector, and pass-through charging. That said, the listing photos also show the controller will be compatible with phones and compact tablets up to 213 mm long.

GameSir hasn't shared any details about the Fortnite edition yet, but the Amazon listings suggest an announcement could be close. With the regular X5 Lite for Xbox scheduled to begin shipping in October, the themed versions could follow a similar timeline.
