The Fusion 15 lightweight mid-range gaming-oriented laptops from XMG are now updated with the latest Intel and Nvidia technologies. XMG equips this year’s Fusion 15 (l25) models to essentially match the AMD-based Core 15 models launched earlier in August. Highlights for the 2025 Fusion 15 laptops include the relatively low weight of 1.95 kg thanks to an aluminium chassis and the Nvidia RTX 5050 dGPU that is currently an exclusive option among XMG lineups.
Detailed specs
Besides being more compact (342 x 236 x 22 mm) and lightweight compared to the 16-inch model launched last month, the L25 iteration of the XMG Fusion 15 is more focused on energy efficiency and battery life. Instead of the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX found in the Fusion 16, the 15-inch variant is equipped with a Core Ultra 7 255H with 16 cores, which can provide runtimes of over 10 hours in streaming mode thanks to the 99.8 Wh battery.
For the base configuration, XMG offers the recently launched entry-level RTX 5050 dGPU, but, as with the 16-inch variant, there still are more powerful options including the RTX 5060 and 5070 dGPUs. All three options run at 115 W TGP with Dynamic Boost enabled. As far as power limits go, a Fusion 15 equipped with an RTX 5070 can get 90 W sustained for CPU, as well as 165 W sustained for the CPU and GPU combo.
On the display side, we find the same solution featured on the Core 15 models. The 15.3-inch IPS panel comes with 2560 x 1600 resolution, 500 nit maximum brightness, 100% sRGB color gamut and 300 Hz refresh rate plus Adaptive Sync.
Maximum DDR5 RAM capacity is set to 128 GB via two SO-DIMM slots and maximum storage capacity is 16 TB via two M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots. There is also support for DDR5-6400 CSO DIMMs.
Port selection is robust with the connectors placed at the back and on the sides. Back connectors include an HDMI 2.1 (48 Gbps) and HDMI 2.0b (18 Gbps), a DP40-compatible Mini DisplayPort 2.1, a Thunderbolt 4 with DP80-compatible DisplayPort 2.1 and 140-watt USB-C Power Delivery (20 V, 7 A), as well as the connector for the 240-watt power supply. On the sides, XMG offers USB-C 3.2 Gen2 with DisplayPort 1.4a and 100-watt Power Delivery, three USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, a Gigabit LAN port, a 2-in-1 audio jack for headset + mic, and a fast SD Express full-size SD card reader. Wireless connectivity is ensured via a Wi-Fi 7 card.
Other features worth mentioning are the FHD webcam with physical private shutter and the full-size RGB keyboard with concave keycaps plus the large 123 x 77.5 mm touchpad.
