Gigabyte has unveiled its next-gen gaming laptops globally, with the Gaming A16 PRO and Gaming A18 joining the 2025 Gaming Series lineup. The Taiwanese company says the new machines combine raw power, portability, and AI-powered smarts.
The A16 PRO and A18 boast 12-hour battery life while featuring up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPUs and Gigabyte’s in-house-developed GiMate AI Agent. They are engineered for both play and work as they can handle gaming performance and AI-intensive creative tasks.
According to Gigabyte, GiMate is an AI assistant that allows users to control their systems with just their voice. The technology can adjust cooling profiles, privacy modes, and even GPU performance while users continue gaming or working on creative projects.
Both the ‘ultra-slim’ A16 PRO and A18 support Nvidia DLSS 4, Nvidia Studio, and Nvidia NIM microservices for enhanced graphics acceleration and AI tasking. They also feature WQXGA 165 Hz displays with 3 ms response time and Dolby Atmos spatial audio. Other features include a revamped keyboard with larger keycaps and 1.7 mm key travel.
The A16 PRO is the smaller of the duo, with a chassis under 20 mm thick and a weight of 2.3 kg. Thermal management includes the improved WindForce Infinity EX cooling system and Frost Fan design with 158 asymmetric blades.
The A18 is larger with an 18-inch display and is more suitable for gaming and creative work. It has a 20 mm thick chassis and an efficient cooling mechanism with a surround-vent thermal design.
