Although it takes place in the same universe, it tells a different story. You'll play as Meve, the queen of the kingdoms of Lyria and Rivia, and you'll have to go to war once again to protect your lands.
In a campaign that lasts about 20 hours with various twists and turns and in which you can shape the world, you’ll be able to explore several mysterious areas, each with its own atmosphere. Thus, you’ll travel through the countryside, castles, and snow-capped mountains.
Throughout your journey, you'll be able to search for treasures in ancient ruins or find valuable resources. However, danger lurks everywhere, and you'll also have to face various creatures. To defeat them in card battles, you'll need to build an army with the characters you've encountered and train them to unlock new tactics and skills. Don't forget to use your unit's special ability to secure victory.
Finally, this game also includes bonus content, such as the original Thronebreaker soundtrack and the Gwent: Art of The Witcher Card Game artbook. A concept art collection is also available, as well as the graphic novel The Witcher: Fox Children.

Many players love the game’s world, soundtrack, and storyline. However, some people feel that there are too many puzzles and that the world feels repetitive.
