Diablo Immortal external regional testing to begin soon
No matter what some die-hard fans might say, I think that Diablo is a game that would fit great on mobile gaming devices, mainly smartphones — as long as they are not using a compact design like the iPhone 12 mini (and all the Android handsets that will try to emulate its success and will probably arrive next year).
Back in 2018, when Diablo Immortal was announced at that year's BlizzCon, the title didn't receive much love — to use a soft approach regarding the feedback it got back then. Thankfully, everything's much better now — at least from the perspective of the internal testing process — and the game continues its journey. According to Daniel Alegre, Activision Blizzard's president and COO, "amongst multiple Blizzard mobile titles under development Diablo Immortal saw a hugely enthusiastic response in internal testing in the third quarter and will soon enter external regional testing."
However, before Diablo Immortal gets its release date, MMORPG fans should get ready for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. The eight expansion of Blizzard's iconic title is scheduled to land on November 23.
Are you interested in Diablo Immortal? Do you think there is any point in playing such games on a mobile, a platform where most MMORPG titles end up as games on autopilot where the user doesn't have to do much, only to sit back and watch what is happening? Am I getting this completely wrong, maybe?
