The Precision 5520 (which starts at $1,399 but is $2,765.50 as configured here) offers a wonderful amount of power for those looking to do some workstation tasks on the Linux desktop. However, there were a few major hangups that really held the Precision back from realizing its full potential.

NVIDIA Quadro M1200: Mainstream workstation graphics card based on the GM107 Maxwell architecture with 640 shaders and a 128-bit wide memory bus. The GPU is similar to the consumer GTX 960M.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

E3-1505M v6: Quad-core notebook processor based on the Kaby Lake architecture for large notebooks running at 3 - 4 GHz. Supports ECC-RAM compared to Core processors. It is the second fastest mobile Xeon processor from the Kaby Lake series and slightly in front of the consumer i7-7820HQ. The chip also integrates the professional HD Graphics P630 GPU with certified drivers clocked at 350 - 1100 MHz and is manufactured in a 14 nm process (improved compared to Skylake).
