Earlier today, new information emerged about DJI's long-awaited return to the world of tiny action cameras. In recent years, the company has focused on larger options like the Osmo Action 5 Pro (curr. $349 on Amazon) and the Insta360 X5 rivalling Osmo 360. However, prior leaks indicated that the so-called Osmo Nano effectively serves as a reimagining of the Action 2 that DJI released almost four years ago.
According to Jasper Ellens, the earlier leak originates from a Chinese internal presentation. Ultimately, neither Ellens nor Igor Bogdanov, who originally shared the leaked slide, have provided a source for the leaked image. Nonetheless, both seem certain that it is authentic, as are the official accessories it reveals, such as numerous mounting options.
Moreover, Ellens now claims to have received word regarding the Osmo Nano's release date. Writing on DroneXL, the leaker alleges that DJI's next action camera will officially debut on September 10. If that is the case, then we would expect DJI to share a teaser by next Wednesday at the latest. On top of that, Ellens adds that the Osmo Nano will start at €369 (~$431) with 64 GB of storage before rising to €399 (~$466) for its 128 GB SKU. In other words, it seems that DJI hopes to undercut the Insta360 Go Ultra on price, which starts at €429 in the Eurozone.
