Cute secondary screen for iPhones: Oppo reveals upgraded Bubble selfie screen

Oppo recently launched the Bubble Trendy Selfie Screen, a magnetic secondary display for select Oppo smartphones. Featuring a circular AMOLED touchscreen, the accessory attaches to the back of compatible phones and allows users to preview and capture selfies with the rear cameras. It can also display photos or videos or be clipped onto a backpack or key ring as a decorative pendant. The Bubble Trendy Selfie Screen is currently available in China for CNY 499 (~$73).

Meanwhile, Oppo has introduced a new version that's compatible with iPhones. Unlike the original model, which only works with select Oppo phones, including the Reno 16 and Find X9 series, the new accessory supports every iPhone from the iPhone X onward. Once paired, users can use it to take photos with either the front or rear cameras. The accessory attaches magnetically to the phone, but it can also be used as a standalone remote shutter from up to 10 meters (about 33 feet) away.

Like the original, the iPhone-compatible Bubble measures just 7 mm thick and checks in at 27.5 grams. It also packs the same 550 mAh rechargeable battery and ships with the same accessories, including a protective case and key ring.

Pricing and availability

The Oppo Bubble for iPhone is now available to preorder in China for CNY 499 (~$73), matching the price of the original model. Shipping begins on July 6, though Oppo has yet to announce plans for a global release.
