Oppo brings the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro to Europe, albeit with smaller batteries

Following the debut of the Reno 16 series in China in late May, Oppo has now announced the phones in Europe. The global version of the Reno 16 series includes the Reno 16, Reno 16 Pro, Reno 16 F, and Reno 16 FS, but this article focuses on the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro.
Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro
The Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro both have a 6.32-inch 2640 x 1216 display with a peak brightness of 3600 nits. However, the standard version has a 120Hz refresh rate while the pro model has a 144Hz refresh rate. It is worth mentioning that the Reno 16 Pro sold in China has a larger 6.78-inch LTPO 120Hz panel.
Their differences also extends to their processors as the Reno 16 has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, while the Reno 16 Pro has a MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super chipset with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The Reno 16 series packs some serious camera specs on paper. The main camera on the Reno 16 Pro is a 200MP f/1.8 Samsung S5KHP5 with OIS and it is paired with a 20MP f/2.0 ultrawide angle camera, and a 50MP f/2.8 Samsung JN5 telephoto camera with OIS. There's also a 50MP Samsung JNF camera on the front but with an f/2.0 aperture.
The Reno 16 features a 50MP f/1.8 Sony LYT-600 with OIS for its main camera, but has the same ultrawide and telephoto cameras as the Reno 16 Pro. It also has a 50MP f/1.8 front-facing camera but a GalaxyCore GC50F6 sensor. Both phones are packed with tons of camera features such as the ability to record simultaneously from the front and back cameras; the ability to straighten 4K videos with up to five degrees of tilt, and retro-inspired live filters.
The Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro have a 6,000mAh Si-C battery with support for 80W SuperVooc fast charge. They also have stereo speakers, an aluminum frame, dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.4, an optical in-display fingerprint scanner, a dedicated AI key on the left side of the phone, and IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K dust and water resistance. The Pro model also has a HyperCool vapor chamber. Both phones ship with ColorOS 16 out of the box.
The Reno 16 is available in Pop White and Twilight Violet. A single variant with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage will be available in Germany and Austria with a price tag of €899, but those who purchase it between now and July 31, can get it for €799.
The Reno 16 Pro comes in Pop White and Starlight Black and a single configuration with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage will be available for €1,099. However, like the Reno 16, it will be discounted to €899 until July 31. Both phones are available to pre-order now ahead of release on July 3. There are also free gifts available with the purchase of either device.
