Nothing Phone (4b) launches on July 7 as Nothing's next budget phone

Nothing released the first teaser videos for the Nothing Phone (4b) on Monday and confirmed that this is a new, more affordable smartphone series, in other words, a cheaper sister model to the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro ($509 on Amazon). In the teaser embedded below, Nothing now confirms that the first smartphone in the “b” series will be officially unveiled on Tuesday, July 7, at 11:00 a.m. BST – exactly two weeks from now.
The teaser image shows several design sketches, all of which feature a flat bezel and heavily rounded corners, though the camera modules differ drastically. While the sketch in an earlier teaser video featured only a single rear camera, some of these new sketches show camera modules with at least three lenses. So it remains to be seen how many cameras the Nothing Phone (4b) will ultimately have.
So far, no further details are known about the specifications, price, or design of the Nothing Phone (4b). What is certain is that this mid-range smartphone will not only serve as a more affordable alternative to the Nothing Phone (4a), but will also fill the gap that emerged in Nothing’s product portfolio after the affordable CMF Phones were put on hold. Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis has already confirmed that the Nothing Phone (4b) is intended to break into a new segment and focus on the features that matter most to users – a clear indication that compromises will have to be made to achieve the lower price.
