Four new Citizen watches featuring a compass chapter ring are on the way to Europe. The CA4720-01X, the CA4720-52L, the CA4720-52X and the CA4723-03A have each appeared on the brand’s website in countries like the Netherlands.
Each of these Citizen CA472 series analog chronographs is powered by a B620-00Z caliber. The Eco-Drive watches have a 270-day power reserve, recharging with both indoor and outdoor light sources. There are three analog hands and a basic date display. As well as the compass on the outer edge of the dial, there are more tools found in the three inset dials: a stopwatch, a battery power indicator and a 24 hour clock. Each version measures 42 mm (~1.7 inches) across and has a protective crystal glass.
The CA4720-01X and the CA4720-52X both have a green dial with silver colored stainless steel casing. While the CA4720-01X has a black leather strap, the CA4720-52X has a metal band matching the case. The CA4720-52L has a dark blue dial, with silver tone stainless steel casing and strap. The CA4723-03A stands apart from the rest, a silver dial watch with a black ring and gold colored metal casing. Like the CA4720-01X, it has a black leather strap.
In the EU, the Citizen CA4720-01X will retail for €249, while the CA4720-52L, the CA4720-52X and the CA4723-03A will be slightly more expensive at €269 each. It is unclear when these new chronographs will be released; prospective customers can use the “inform” button on each product page to sign up to receive an email when the watches launch.
