Casio has officially launched the MRW230H series in the US. Previously revealed in February, this is a new lineup of budget-friendly, diver-inspired analog watches. The collection consists of three models, each featuring a rotating bezel and a simple, legible dial. With a price tag of $35.95, these watches are an accessible alternative for those who want a functional and sporty design without really breaking the bank.
The MRW230H-1E1V features a classic black dial with white accents, while the MRW230H-1E2V has a red and blue bezel for a more eye-catching contrast. The MRW230H-1E3V rounds out the lineup with a green bezel and the same overall layout. Despite the diver-like aesthetic, these watches have a 100-meter water resistance rating, which does render them suitable for everyday water exposure but not full-fledged diving.
All three models are equipped with a 47.9mm resin and aluminum case, a resin band, and a resin glass cover. The lightweight build - just 34 grams - should be great for all-day wear. Powering the series is a quartz movement with a three-year battery life (SR626SW), and they feature a day and date display. The bezel, while rotatable, is timer-based rather than unidirectional, so it functions more as a general timing aid than a strict diving tool.
At under $40, the MRW230H series fills a key gap in Casio’s lineup - a practical, no-frills analog watch with the look of a dive watch but the simplicity of a daily beater. These watches are now available for purchase in the US through Casio’s official store and select retailers.
