The Casio G-Shock G-Steel GST-B1000 - which is one of the most anticipated flagships of the G-Steel lineup - has had its pricing and design fully revealed through a combination of recent leaks and confirmed details. According to popular Japanese blog Great G-Shock World, the GST-B1000 will launch at a retail price of 66,000 yen (~$441) - a figure that matches earlier European price rumors of €350-€450.
The GST-B1000 is a bold departure from previous G-Steel releases. Past leaks - including official renders and fan sketches - showcase a full analog display with no digital subdials, smooth octagonal bezels, and sharp-edged cases. Casio is also using its signature Carbon Core Guard structure for shock resistance. The case is further paired with a slimmer, stainless steel bracelet composed of solid links.
Textures on the dial and bezel look to have very strong influences from the MR-G series. The new model is thinner and lighter (46.9 x 44.2 x 11.6 mm, 118 grams), which means it will likely be great for everyday wear rather than the typical maximalist look the line is known for.
Casio will reportedly launch the GST-B1000 in three dial variants:
- GST-B1000D-1A (Black dial)
- GST-B1000D-2A (Blue dial)
- GST-B1000D-3A (Green dial)
Beyond the design, the GST-B1000 will come equipped with:
- A 30-minute analog chronograph
- Countdown timer
- Date and day indicators
- Super Illuminator LED backlight
- Casio's Tough Solar power and Bluetooth smartphone link
- Water and shock resistance
The GST-B1000 is expected to release later this year, with September and October likely launch months as retailer listings and marketing materials ramp up.
