The Casio Pro Trek PRJ-B001B-1 is now officially available to buy on Casio's Japan website. Priced at ¥25,300 (~$169), the watch uses bio-based plastics for its 50.3 × 46 × 13.6 mm case and weighs 37 grams. It comes with a cross-band that fits wrists from 145 to 215 mm.
As with other models in the Hiker line, the rotary guard bezel is functional, which lets users switch between protected and operational modes for the buttons with a 45-degree turn. Water resistance is rated at 10 bar, and the watch is designed to operate at temperatures as low as -10°C. Timekeeping is powered by Tough Solar, and Bluetooth connectivity enables automatic time correction via the Casio Watches app.
The PRJ-B001B-1’s feature set includes world time for 38 cities, five alarms, stopwatch, countdown timer, double LED illumination, full auto calendar, and a battery indicator. A full solar charge lasts up to seven months, while power saving mode extends this to 18 months. Without smartphone sync, the movement can maintain standard quartz accuracy at ±15 seconds per month.
This model uses a paracord-style band, which can be swapped within the Pro Trek series, and is part of Casio’s Hiker Line. Sales are live now. While the watch isn't visible on Casio's US website as of writing, we can expect that to change in the near future.
