The Casio Edifice EFK-100XPB-1A watch has been confirmed for the UK market. Originally thought to be exclusive to Japan and China, it will join three other new Edifice EFK-100 timepieces, which are also launching in this market.
Casio’s EFK-100XPB-1A is a mechanical watch, one of the first from the brand. The movement offers a 40-hour power reserve and is said to be accurate to within -35 to +45 seconds daily. Plus, it can be viewed through the timepiece’s transparent caseback. The analog dial is protected by sapphire crystal glass, and the watch comes with a urethane band, which is described as durable.
Unlike other models in the EFK-100 series, the EFK-100XPB-1A features both a forged carbon dial and casing. This material, made from carbon fibre and resin, is said to be a lighter and stronger alternative to commonly used metals. This Edifice watch is water resistant to 100 m, measuring 45.0 x 40.0 x 12.5 mm (~1.8 x 1.6 x 0.5 inches) and weighing (~87 g). It is also magnetic resistant and features a date display near the bottom of the dial.
In the UK, the Casio Edifice EFK-100XPB-1A watch will retail for £429 and is expected to be released at some point in July 2025. This makes it significantly more expensive than the EFK-100D-2A and EFK-100D-3A watches, priced at £269, and the EFK-100CD-1A, which has a £289 RRP. The model has not been listed on the brand’s international website, so it is unclear whether or not it will also reach other countries like the US, where other Edifice EFK-100 watches are tipped for release, or the Netherlands.
