Canon Light & Speaker ML-A arrives as new two-in-one gadget
Canon has launched the Light & Speaker ML-A in Europe. The new two-in-one gadget has an aluminum body, with a speaker at the base and an LED lamp suspended above. The tilting and rotating arm enables you to adjust the angle of the light to suit your needs.
You can customize the lighting with a 6,450K brighter setting for work or reading or a warmer 3,450K ambient light. Plus, you can choose from various brightness levels, peaking at 300 lumens. The LED lamp is expected to last for up to 30,000 hours, with the battery forecast to keep running for over 300 cycles. The bottom portion of the product contains a full-range 10W speaker, a 50 mm (~2.0-in) driver with a class-D digital amplifier and a passive radiator, generating a 360° sound. Bluetooth 5.0 lets you wirelessly connect your phone or other devices to the speaker.
The integrated 2,600 mAh battery allows you to use the light for up to eight hours, the speaker for up to five hours, or both for around three hours; the device fully recharges via USB-C in three hours. The speaker lamp is 122 mm (~4.8-in) wide, 310 mm tall (~12.2-in) and weighs 1.6 kg (~3.5 kg). You can now buy the Canon Light & Speaker ML-A in the EU and the UK for €299/£269, choosing between silver or black models.
