Brook has launched the Wingman FGC VX converter for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners in the US, allowing gamers to use over 150 third-party controllers that were not designed to be compatible with these consoles, such as the 8Bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth controller sold on Amazon.
The ultra-low-latency converter plugs into USB-A ports (or USB-C ports using a converter), while wired controllers plug into the Brook Wingman and wireless controllers connect remotely. The converter adds PS4 and PS5 compatibility, with six-axis motion control for controllers that have this capability, customizable vibration levels, remappable buttons, and custom stick calibrations.
Additional features are enabled for all controllers, including Turbo mode to automatically fire or jump continuously and Macro mode to simpilfy using fighting game combos. These modes can be disabled during e-sports competitions using the Brook Converter Center PC software.
The Wingman FGC VX converter can also connect controllers to PCs in X-Input mode, allowing desktop gamers to use their favorite console controllers and fighting sticks. The converter measures 77.0 x 20.3 x 12.4 mm (3.0 x 0.8 x 0.5 in.) and weighs 13.4 g (0.47 oz.).
The Brook Wingman FGC VX converter is available from Amazon for an MSRP of $71.99.
