Brigandine Abyss brings hex-tactics to console and PC this August

NIS America and Adglobe are bringing a new entry in the long-running Brigandine strategy series to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Brigandine: Abyss launches on Steam on August 26, 2026, with the console versions following a day later on August 27. Happinet is publishing the game in Japan, where all platforms release simultaneously on the 27th.
The game drops players into a new setting built to work for longtime fans and first-timers alike. Centuries after the original Abyssloa Empire was defeated by the power of the arcane Brigandine, a new incarnation of the empire has risen, and it's coming for the continent of Meltitea.
Hexagonal combat and army management
Brigandine: Abyss keeps the series' two-phase structure intact. During the Organization Phase, players manage their territory, recruit monster units, and assign leaders to their squads. Combat then plays out during the Attack Phase on hexagonal grids, where positioning, elemental matchups, and terrain height all factor into how a battle swings. Leaders can shape their squads around specific abilities, and monsters evolve and change class as they gain experience.
Six campaigns, and 24 factions in Mission Mode
Story Mode gives players six separate nation campaigns to choose from, each with its own characters and political stakes as it works toward stopping the empire. Mission Mode opens things up further, letting players take control of any one of 24 factions across the continent. Win conditions vary by faction, from unifying the whole map to defending a stronghold, gathering resources, or building alliances.
