Kadokawa has announced a new free-to-play Konosuba 3D RPG coming to PC and mobile in 2026, featuring an all-new original story overseen by Natsume Akatsuki.

Kadokawa Corporation has officially announced KonoSuba – God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! Prosperity to This Beloved Town!, shortened in Japan as Machisuba. The free-to-play title is slated for launch on iOS, Android, and PC in Japan later in 2026, with pre-registration currently open on the App Store and Google Play.

The game was first teased back in January 2026 during an anniversary livestream, under an early working title translated at the time as Prosperity for This Beloved City. Kadokawa's full reveal this month confirmed the final title, along with the voice cast, 3D battle systems, and launch platforms.

Described as an otherworldly trouble-life RPG, the game drops players back into the chaotic daily lives of Kazuma and his party, with fully rendered 3D battles and original scenarios. The full reveal was made during Colorful, a livestream event marking the KonoSuba anime's 10th anniversary, where Kadokawa also streamed the game's first teaser trailer and revealed its key visual. The title also marks the franchise's return to mobile following the shutdown of its previous smartphone game, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, which ended service in early 2025.

Original lore and returning voice cast

Rather than retreading the existing anime or light novel plotlines, Prosperity to This Beloved Town! features a brand-new narrative supervised directly by KonoSuba author Natsume Akatsuki, with visual cooperation from original series illustrator Kurone Mishima. Both creators welcomed the project publicly. Akatsuki said he hopes the game's events will not exclude solo players, comparing himself to the reclusive character Yunyun, while Mishima said he was delighted to meet Kazuma and the rest of the cast again in this new format.

The main voice cast reprises their roles for the title:

  • Kazuma, voiced by Jun Fukushima
  • Aqua, voiced by Sora Amamiya
  • Megumin, voiced by Rie Takahashi
  • Darkness, voiced by Ai Kayano

Pre-registration and broader franchise plans

Kadokawa has not yet announced global publishing plans outside Japan, though the Japanese pre-registration campaign is already active across digital storefronts. The reveal coincided with another major franchise announcement: season 4 of the KonoSuba anime has officially been greenlit for a 2027 broadcast window, giving fans two major releases to anticipate from the same franchise push.
