Beelink has announced a new product line, the ME series. This marks the company's entry into the NAS segment, and the ME mini will be one of the very first NAS systems that the new mini PC line will introduce to the market. The company hasn't shared much about this first product of the series.
However, in the official announcement, Beelink mentions that the ME mini will be compact, measuring 99x99.2x98.3 mm. But even with this small form factor, the NAS system will sport a built-in power supply. This will enable users to power the device with just a cable.
Of course, such a small form factor means the ME mini won't be able to fit a 3.5-inch drive inside, which is something that most NAS systems offer. However, there are a total of six M.2 slots, and each of them can be fitted with up to a 4 TB SSD (2 TB Samsung 990 EVO Plus curr. $129.99 on Amazon). That means the system can hold a total of 24 TB of storage.
The company hasn't specifically mentioned what processor will be powering the NAS, but Beelink did confirm that it will be an x86 CPU. In addition to that, the announcement post mentions the availability of two 2.5 GbE LAN ports and an advanced cooling solution to keep all the storage drives inside cool.
There's no word on the price yet, and Beelink hasn't announced when the ME mini will be available. There's also mention of a Pro and Max model, but the announcement post doesn't offer any additional info about them.
