GMKtec has introduced a new mini PC in China, the K10. Dubbed to be a mini server, this system comes with the Intel Core i9-13900HK, which is one of the high-end processors from the Raptor Lake-H lineup. This makes the system capable of handling demanding server-related tasks.
The company further notes that the CPU is paired with a large-sized cooling setup with a "high-flow rate turbofan." This apparently makes the processor offer stable performance under load. Another highlight of this mini server is support for up to 96 GB of DDR5 RAM. It also has three M.2 2280 slots, which can hold up to 12 TB of storage (4 TB Samsung 990 Evo Plus curr. $267 on Amazon).
Now, while the GMK K10 was designed to be a mini server, the company claims that it can act like a regular mini PC. To be specific, there are three modes, with the "high-performance mode" being specifically for gaming, but note that the iGPU of the system isn't as capable as something like the Radeon 780M.
Getting back to the server aspect of the K10, GMKtec highlights the rich connectivity port and network configuration of the mini PC. It comes with a COM serial port, four USB 3.2 Gen 2, one HDMI, one USB Type-C, one DP, and four USB 2.0 ports. The mini server also has a 2.5G Ethernet, WiFi 6, and two antenna terminals.
Other highlights of the GMK K10 include support for 8K video output and a compact form factor. The mini PC is currently available for reservation in China, and there's no word on global release or the price yet.
