Piccolo is a new and particularly compact convertible directly available from the manufacturer, X-Plus, at a price of $374.99. A carrying bag can be included for an additional $15. Various shipping options are available, with the cheapest option being free but having the longest delivery times (18-30 days). Buyers can choose expedited shipping for an additional free.
The convertible is equipped with an Intel N150, which is a modern, albeit not-particularly-powerful processor with up to 3.6 GHz computing cores. In future, the device may also be available with the Intel N200 and Intel i3-N300. 12 GB RAM and a 512 gigabyte SSD are installed. The 8-inch touscreen has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 and can be folded a full 360 degrees, allowing the Piccolo to be used as a tablet. At 200.6 x 130.6 x 17.9 millimeters, the system is quite compact and weighs 658 grams.
The 25.9 Wh battery is specified as having a runtime of around 6 hours. A WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac modem is installed. A microSD card slot is available for easy storage expansion. Ports include USB 3.0, USB 2.0, mini-HDMI and a 3.5-millimeter jack connection. There is also a 2 MP webcam and the power button also doubles as a fingerprint sensor. Lastly, the keyboard comes in the QWERTY layout, which may not be suitable for certain languages outside of English.
