Battlefield 6 launched on October 10 and has managed to stay ahead of the more recent launch and its biggest competitor, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The EA title also has a free-to-play battle royale mode called RedSec that launched on October 28. Now, during Thanksgiving week, gamers will be able to experience more multiplayer modes for free.
EA has announced a free trial period for Battlefield 6. It starts November 25 and ends on December 2, with players getting access to five game modes and three maps. The modes will include Conquest, Breakthrough, Sabotage, and Team Deathmatch, with the fifth one being undisclosed at this point. The maps will include Siege of Cairo, Eastwood, and Blackwell Fields. More details about the free trial will be shared next week.
It is unclear if the single-player campaign will be included in the free trial. Activision did give access to the Black Ops 6 campaign during its free trial week which took place around when Battlefield 6 launched.
The Battlefield 6 free trial is part of a larger announcement that shared updates and new content for the multiplayer modes, as well as RedSec. The latter gets a new Rodeo mission for the Gauntlet game mode. The full update patch notes can be found here.
It was recently reported that in the UK, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is lagging behind Battlefield 6 and Black Ops 6, as opening week physical sales were 61% lower compared to the latter. There is also a massive difference between Steam player counts as Battlefield 6 peaked at over 747,400 while Black Ops 7, a newer release, peaked at over 491,600. At the time of publishing, there are over 166, 700 players in Battlefield 6 while just under 61,000 are playing Black Ops 7.
