Baseus touts its new Blade power bank as a super-portable 100W charging accessory
Certain power banks out there have shown themselves to be equal to some of the most demanding USB type-C charging use-cases out there. However, they may have to do so at the expense of their weight and size in comparison to other, more modestly-spec'd examples of their sector.
However, Baseus claims to have overcome this potential drawback with the new Blade 100W Power Bank. It is rated to charge devices such as the latest MacBook Pros, XPS 13s or even the Razer laptops of the same name, and also to be nearly as slim and light as these machines as well.
Baseus has crammed its batteries, rated for 20,000mAh of capacity, into a chassis only 0.7 inches tall and just over 1 pound (1lb) in mass. It also features a handy digital (albeit not OLED) display for its charging level and status, as well as a total of 4 ports along one edge.
2 of these are type-C, certified for the PD 3.0, PPS, QC.4.0, FCP and SCP standards. They are both rated to support its top output - although they can only charge the Blade itself at 65W, and, thus, takes an estimated 1.5 hours to do so.
The other 2 are type-A, and might thus drop to 30W or less on connection to devices such as earbud charging cases and so on.
The Baseus Blade 100W Power Bank is now priced at US$99.99 on Amazon.com, although it is out of stock at the time of writing.
