PowerVision has announced that it is getting into the smartphone gimbal game with the S1. Then again, it purports to improve on this product category with the addition of a power bank, so the user can charge their iPhone or premium Android device wirelessly.
Besides this, PowerVision asserts that the S1 will be able to stand up to other products such as the Zhiyun Smooth XS or DJI OM 4 in their ability to support smartphone videography. It is rated for 3-axis stabilization for the mobile devices attached to its motorized arm via its magnetic attachment.
The OEM also claims it can support AI-powered tracking so as to keep the subject in the frame, along the lines of the iPad Pro's new Center Stage feature. The S1 may also be operated hands-free through gestures, and can cycle between portrait and landscape recording at the touch of a button.
The S1 may also come with a range of accessories for universal compatibility with all kinds of phones and with use in the car, clamps and magnetic adapters included. PowerVision has yet to reveal pricing or availability for the new accessory, besides to state that it will debut via Indiegogo soon.
