UGREEN has launched its latest 65W USB charger on Indiegogo. This charging accessory has apparently been "designed for Apple fans", although it may also suit those already committed to the USB C-to-USB C-cable life. These ports are rated for the USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) 3.0 and 2.0 standards, as well as Qualcomm Quick Charge (QC) 4.0 through 2.0 and a handful of other fast-charging standards.
Therefore, it is rated to (for example) charge an iPhone X by 50% in 30 minutes, and may also charge other devices (such as the new 13-inch MacBook Pro) at normal speeds. However, it is also projected to weigh just 165 grams and have a smaller footprint than that of the standard Apple 61W brick.
Alternatively, it could be compatible with a Nintendo Switch, newer Dell XPS 13 or 15, Android phone or a range of other USB type C-powered devices. It is also to be equipped with gallium nitride (GaN), the state of the art in charging technology.
This new 4-port ("3C+1A") charger currently starts at US$27 via its new Indiegogo page - a price that UGREEN asserts will be a 50% discount on its eventual retail price. Alternatively, there is a second SKU (the first-listed reward) with a single USB type C ("1C") port that currently starts at $19 (or 51% off retail) at the early-bird level. It is set to ship worldwide from (as UGREEN projects) June 2020.
