Bang & Olufsen has launched the Beoplay EX earbuds, with a design similar to the Apple AirPod. The company claims that the earbuds have an ergonomic design for a snug yet comfortable fit. The earbuds have adaptive active noise cancellation, with a one-tap Transparency Mode to allow you to hear ambient noise clearly.
Each earbud has a 9.2 mm driver to deliver detailed sound with full bass; Bang & Olufsen states this is its largest wireless headphone driver. The stick of the headphone contains six microphones and intelligent beam-forming technology, ensuring you are always audible on a call. The earbuds are IP-57 rated, meaning that they are weather and sweat proof.
The earbuds have a glass touchscreen that you can use to control the device. You can use the accompanying Bang & Olufsen app to personalize settings such as noise cancellation and Listening Mode.
The headphones last for up to eight hours, with a wireless charging case providing up to 20 hours of listening time. Each earbud measures 22.5 x 34.8 x 22.7 mm (~0.89 x 1.37 x 0.89-in) and weighs 6 g (~0.2 oz), with the charging case measuring 66.2 x 48 x 22.1 mm (~2.6 x 1.9 x 0.9-in) and weighing 53 g (~1.9 oz).
The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EX earbuds will be available from the beginning of next month for US$399. You’ll be able to buy the headphones in three colorways: Anthracite Oxygen (black and blue), Gold Tone and Black Anthracite.
