Asus announces ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18 (2025) pricing and availability
Asus has released the Strix Scar (2025) line to pre-order with the the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, 32GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, dual Thunderbolt 5 ports and the same generous 90 watt-hour (Wh) battery as the new Strix G18 across the board. Their prices differ depending on their RTX 5000-series graphics and SSD sizes.
Accordingly, the new Scar 16 starts at $3,299.99 with the RTX 5080 and a 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, or goes for $4,299.99 with the same specs but with top-end RTX 5090 graphics.
Both configurations (the G635LW-XS97 and G635LX-XS97 respectively) have an ROG Nebula HDR display made of 240Hz 2.5K mini LED panel. The Scar 18 has an 18-inch, Pantone-validated, up-to-1,200 nit display, even in the entry-level model (the G835LR-XS96), although it is driven by the RTX 5070 Ti.
It is priced at $2,699.99 with a 1TB SSD, rising to $3,399.99 for a 2TB SKU (G835LW-XS97) with an RTX 5080 card, and topping out at $4,499.99 for the same but maxed out with RTX 5090 power.
Most of the new line-up is available direct from Asus, except for the highest-end Strix Scar 18 (2025), which is also available on Best Buy.
