However, the main reason you will buy the ROG Zephyrus G is for its slim and light chassis. Not only is it slim and light, but it also offers a premium styling that you will find in more expensive gaming laptops. Hence, at the coffee table, you will steal glances with the Zephyrus G for its svelte looks while you are hard at your gaming or editing sessions.

As of writing this review, the Core i7-powered Zephyrus M GU502 costs Rs 1,42,990. This Ryzen 7-powered Zephyrus G GA502, on the other hand, costs Rs 99,990. If you’re planning to get the cheaper alternative so you can save Rs 43,000, you’ll be happy to note that you won’t be losing out on too much kit. You’ll end up with a (slightly) less powerful CPU and GPU but it won’t make a vast difference to your gaming experience, especially if you’re a casual gamer. The same goes for the display quality.

The Asus ROG Zephyrus G is another gaming machine that has been impacted by compromised design in some areas. The screen, for instance, has poor colours, and the keyboard is light and breezy. It’s fine for casual gaming and for esports, but not for serious players.

ASUS rarely makes missteps when they produce gaming notebooks, and their Zephyrus G GA502 thankfully isn’t one of them. Its stylish chassis blends well in most corporate settings (that giant ROG logo notwithstanding), and its thin and light chassis is great for people looking for a gaming notebook that literally won’t break their back.

Finding a gaming laptop in any budget isn't that hard. Picking the right one is. Between the plethora of features and a fair amount of marketing mumbo-jumbo, not to mention the multitude of CPU-GPU choices, it's nearly impossible for a layman to pick the right combo.

Asus has given us two choices at very different price points, but there's a lot that the ROG Zephyrus G GA502DU has in common with the Zephyrus M GU502GU. Of course the lower priced laptop lacks a few bells and whistles such as the RGB backlit keyboard and USB Type-C charging, but these are not things we would miss a lot. Even the 120Hz screen is not a huge step down from 144Hz.

The Zephyrus G GA502 is a competent multi-purpose laptop. It's compact and light and fast enough for daily chores and some gaming, lasts longer than the competition on a charge and is arguably the nicer looking and the nicer made option in its price-segment. However, you're going to sacrifice on the screen quality and performance compared to other laptops in its class, and you'd be lacking certain features that you might want, as you'll find out from our detailed review down-below.

Overall, the Zephyrus G is, by far, my favorite Zephyrus to date. Aside from its lightweight and slim form factor, it also delivers above-average gaming performance with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is suitable for First-Person Shooter games. Not only that, it has an impressive battery life for a gaming laptop. My only beef here is that there are times that it glitches out like when the screen completely turns all black for a moment then goes back to normal. I also would’ve preferred an SD card slot and RGB backlit-keyboard which should complete my whole gaming experience.

The Asus ROG Zephyrus G GA502 has strong VR-ready graphics packed into a super-light design, but its CPU and display are lackluster.

Overall, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G GA502 has both exceeded and fallen short of my expectations. The main area of contention for me is that dull-looking display, and it may be hard to look past that if you are used to a vibrant monitor. Its other issues are more minor, however, and there is no denying the laptop offers a good level of 1080p gaming performance in a sleek and portable chassis. The excellent battery life also makes this a very realistic option if you want something to use at work or university.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Mobile: Mid range dedicated graphics card for laptops based on the desktop GTX 1660 Ti and therefore the Turing architecture without raytracing and Tensor cores. The performance of the Max-P variant should be similar to an older GTX 1070.
With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.

R7 3750H: Mobile Quad-Core APU using Zen+ cores clocked at 2.3 to 4 GHz and a Vega graphics card with 10 CUs clocked at up to 1400 MHz. The 3750H is the 35 Watt version of the 3700U with the same specs but a higher TDP for better performance under long periods of load.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.

79.22%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
