Another thing that's awesome is that this thing costs $1,299, which is a deal when you consider everything that you're getting. The Legion 5i that I compared it to was $1,599.99, and the Legion 7i was $3,049. If you want to check out the HP OMEN 15, you can find it on Amazon here.

Overall, the HP Omen 15 is a good option and great value if you need a versatile laptop that can play games and run through productivity tasks. It doesn’t cost quite as much as the competition, so the Omen is not a luxury gaming machine, and it sits more comfortably in the price range between $1000 and $1400 (depending on the configuration) where it competes with mainstream gaming laptops that have comparable CPU and GPUs.

The HP Omen 15-en0263ng can be considered a rock-solid contender for the next gaming laptop that one would buy. The device has been packed with the perfect hardware configuration, only thrown off by the choice of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650Ti in an otherwise high-end configuration. Regardless, it performs well with both gaming and creative workload. In terms of its display, the HP Omen 15 carries a 1080p IPS panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz. It supports 8-bit colour per channel, allowing for accurate and wholesome sRGB coverage. The panel is also pretty bright, registering 310 lux of brightness in the centre. However, it should be noted that the corners tend to be a little bit dimmer. While this may appear problematic in theory, in practice, there is minimal to zero probability of anyone noticing this slight shift in brightness while gaming or watching a really dark film. Apart from that, the matte coating on the display handles reflections really well, so this device is definitely a great choice for users who are always on the go, whether for personal or professional reasons.
As far as performance is concerned, the HP Omen 15 is powered by a Intel Core i7-10750H and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650Ti. One of the prominent changes with this new Omen 15 compared to the 2019 version has to be the thermals. While HP has been traditionally known for not having the best thermal solutions in its laptops, this Omen device has definitely changed that narrative with its cooling system. Another area where the Omen 15 has a high-end gaming laptop vibe is its choice of storage. This model houses a 1TB Samsung MZVLB1T0HBLR OEM drive that uses Samsung’s Phoenix controller. The specification page lists the drive as reaching 3500 MB/s and 3000 MB/s sequential read-write speeds respectively.
In terms of its keyboard, the HP Omen 15-en0263ng has been equipped with a four-zone RGB keyboard. It is actually broken up into three distinct RGB zones, while the WASD keys get their own lighting profile, making them the fourth zone. It is worth noting that the lighting can be controlled with the Omen Command Center software. Unfortunately, though, it does not offer any effects, it only allows the users to set the colour of the LEDs and nothing else. There is also a trackpad with precision drivers. It is quite known that HP is rather notorious for not using Microsoft’s precision drivers for its trackpads on most of its laptops, which makes navigating the OS a little bit of a mess. However, the nice large matte trackpad of the Omen 15 definitely supports gestures and responds very well to them. As for the battery, the laptop carries a small 52Wh battery. Overall, this laptop is definitely worth exploring, depending on the choice and preference of the users.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Mobile: Mid range dedicated graphics card for laptops based on the desktop GTX 1660 Ti and therefore the Turing architecture without raytracing and Tensor cores. The performance of the Max-P variant should be similar to an older GTX 1070.
With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
