Reviews for the Lenovo Legion 5 15IMH05H-81Y60044GE

86% Lenovo Legion 5 15IMH05H review: Decent gaming performance if you get the upgrades
Source: Techaeris English
If you’re looking for an entry-level gaming laptop that you can take on the go, the Lenovo Legion 5 is a decent option. While our review unit, which won’t break the bank, was a bit lacking in the higher graphics settings for some games, you can customize the system with a better video card and more RAM. Had our review unit had a better screen and more RAM with the better video card, it definitely would have scored higher than it did. Regardless of the customization option you choose, the laptop does just fine doubling for getting some work done when you’re not gaming.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Mobile: Mid range dedicated graphics card for laptops based on the desktop GTX 1660 Ti and therefore the Turing architecture without raytracing and Tensor cores. The performance of the Max-P variant should be similar to an older GTX 1070.

With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.

» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Graphics Cards and the corresponding Benchmark List.

i7-10750H: A high-performance hexa-core processor designed for the thicker laptops with room for better thermals. The Comet Lake-H processor is manufactured on the third-gen 14 nm Intel process and features the UHD Graphics 630 iGPU clocked at 350 MHz to 1,150 MHz. The CPU cores run at 2.6 GHz (base clock speed) Boosting up to 5 GHz and the likely all-core Boost frequency is 4.3 GHz. Hyper-Threading support is enabled, allowing two threads to run simultaneously on each core.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

Lenovo: Lenovo ( "Le" as in the English word legend and "novo" (Latin) for new) was founded in 1984 as a Chinese computer trading company. From 2004, the company has been the largest laptop manufacturer in China and got the fourth largest manufacturer worldwide after the acquisition of IBM's PC division in 2005. In addition to desktops and notebooks, the company also produces monitors, projectors, servers, etc.

In 2011, Lenovo acquired the majority of Medion AG, a European computer hardware manufacturer. In 2014, Lenovo took over Motorola Mobility, which gave them a boost in the smartphone market.

From 2014 to 2016 Lenovo's market share in the global notebook market was 20-21%, ranking second behind HP. However, the distance decreased gradually. In the smartphone market, Lenovo did not belong to the Top 5 global manufacturers in 2016.

85.5%: This is a good rating above average. Nevertheless you should not forget, that 10-15% of all notebook-models get a better rating.
