Last year's AMD Ryzen-powered Asus ROG Strix G17 has just dropped to a record-low price of $1,299.99 at B&H in an ongoing Black Friday sale. Its highlight feature is undoubtedly the 17.3-inch IPS display with a refresh rate of 240 Hz, WQHD (2,560 × 1,440) resolution, and support for Dolby Vision HDR.
The gaming notebook's internals are no slouch either, as it's equipped with a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 7940HX joined by 16 GB of DDR5-4800 memory and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, leaving a second M.2 slot available for future storage expansion. All this is paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU with 8 GB of VRAM and a 140 W TGP.
Connectivity consists of a couple of 10 Gbps USB-C ports, two 5 Gbps USB-A, HDMI 2.1, a Gigabit LAN connector, as well as a 3.5 mm audio combo jack. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are also supported, while the 90 Wh battery can charge at up to 280 W through the DC-in plug.
