Available on Amazon since late July 2022, the Asus ROG Flow Z13 (2022) is a gaming hybrid that brings together a laptop with a tablet while offering an excellent touchscreen display that features active stylus support for drawing and taking notes. The model number GZ301ZA-PS53 comes in black and features a mid-range Intel Core i5-12500H processor. According to Camelcamelcamel, it topped at US$1,341.63 at the end of July 2023, and the ongoing 34% discount takes it only US$10 higher than the all-time low of US$849.99.
The aforementioned model sports 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM, a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and while it features Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, it also comes with support for the XG Mobile eGPU docking station. The 13.4-inch touchscreen has 1,920 X 1,200 pixels and 120 Hz refresh, as well as 100% sRGB color gamut. The display is also Pantone Validated to guarantee accurate color reproduction.
The list of connectivity options includes Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11 ax, one USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 port. Windows 11 Home is the operating system that comes preloaded.
Unfortunately, the standard retail package does not include a stylus. In addition to the tablet and keyboard, buyers only receive the 100 W power adapter and the usual documentation (warranty card, user guide).
