The Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase was fairly generous in terms of announcements for gamers who own a Nintendo Switch 2. And this is particularly the case with the release of the famous game Apex Legends on this console from August 5, 2025, enabling all Nintendo gamers to play it.
It's worth noting that this console has better features than the Nintendo Switch. In fact, it's more powerful and boasts new features that greatly enhance the gamer experience. As a result, it's not surprising to see titles making their appearance on Nintendo Switch 2, even if they were present on the first.
And so it is with Apex Legends, which is a free-to-play battle royale and first-person shooter developed by Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment. Initially released in 2019 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. And needless to say, it quickly became a hit thanks to its intense gameplay and the characters you play as, who boast unique skills of their own.
However, we had to wait until 2021 to see Apex Legends on the Nintendo Switch. But the game wasn't optimized as it should have been, as framerate drops were reported, not to mention that the resolution was low and overall it wasn't visually pleasing.
Consequently, the arrival of this title on Nintendo Switch 2 from August 5 is good news. Indeed, gamers with this console can expect 1080p resolution in portable version and perhaps 4K on a TV. And that's not all, as 60 fps is also expected from gamers, allowing for greater visual comfort.
But beware, because some details have yet to be revealed, and we'll have to wait for news from Nintendo, either by press release or on social networks. In any case, the game will be much more beautiful and enjoyable than on the Nintendo Switch, enabling players to have a better time.
