Only 1300 units will be produced between the 13.9-inch X3 Plus v5, 15.6-inch X5S v5, and 17.3-inch X7 Pro v5 thin gaming notebooks.

Initially unveiled at CES 2016 for the Aorus X5 series only, the manufacturer will now be expanding the Camouflage skin option for its entire lineup of Skylake notebooks at limited quantities. Aorus cites an "overwhelmingly positive response from fans" about the skin option and have been taking in requests to have it be included on other systems. Thus, a total of 1300 units will be made with the camo skin across the 13.9-inch X3 Plus v5, 15.6-inch X5S v5, and 17.3-inch X7 Pro v5 models.

Aorus notebooks traditionally come in matte black aluminum with no other colors or customization offered by the manufacturer. For the camouflage skin, each unit will carry a unique pattern due to the water transfer printing process that makes it practically impossible to create two notebooks with the exact same pattern. A final "special coating" is applied at the end of the process to reduce abrasion and fingerprints with a small laser engraving signifying the serial number of the limited edition model.

Beyond the aesthetic touch, the core specifications for each notebook remain unchanged. Users will still get Skylake Core i7-6700HQ or i7-6820HK CPUs depending on the model, QHD+, UHD, or FHD display options, and GTX 970M, 980M, or 970M SLI GPUs.
