Computex 2016 | Aorus X7 DT gaming notebook coming with GTX 980 and XSplit membership
The Aorus X7 DT was announced back at CES 2016 and will make another appearance at this year's Computex 2016. This "VR ready" system will be one of Aorus' highest-end offerings with some core specifications including:
- 17.3-inch display
- Skylake CPU options
- GeForce GTX 980 GPU
- Up to 64 GB DDR4 RAM
- HDMI 2.0
- M.2 SSD options
- 3.2 kg
Visually, the X7 DT shares the same design as the existing X7 and X7 Pro. Internally, however, the system has been redesigned almost entirely. Its brand new "RGB Fusion" keyboard will allow up to 16.8 million colors with individually lit keys that are similar to the Razer Blade Stealth and Lenovo Y900. Aside from the flurry of new key color combinations and effects, the keyboard can register up to 30 simultaneous inputs from simple key presses to more complicated Macro commands.
The manufacturer will be targeting the streaming crowd as well with optional live streaming encoders to reduce the processing burden on CPUs and GPUs. A one-year premium membership with XSplit Game Caster and Broadcaster will be included to pull in and encourage gamers to share online.
Special Camouflage Edition SKUs of the X7 DT will be available as previously revealed in CES 2016. Limited units will be manufactured with a camouflage pattern that will be wholly unique to each notebook. Aorus will be expanding this skin option to include more models such as those from the X5S family.
Exact worldwide launch dates and prices have not yet been revealed. See the official product page below for more specifications and information on the X7 DT.
