Amazfit has delayed the release of the new Active 2 Premium smartwatch in the US. This model and two other standard Active 2 watches were announced earlier in January. These wearables follow the original Active smartwatch, which launched in late 2023.
The standard Amazfit Active 2 is already available to purchase in the US for $99.99 (Amazon). Initially, the company stated on its US website that the Premium model would launch in February for $129.99. However, the release has now been pushed back to March without explanation. While the basic models come with a silicone strap, the Premium edition comes with a black leather strap and a red silicone sports band. The Premium watch also has sapphire glass protecting the display, which is an upgrade on the 2.5D tempered glass alternative.
Otherwise, the variants are identical. They both offer a 1.32-inch AMOLED display, which is said to deliver up to 2,000 nits brightness. Features include heart rate and sleep tracking, GPS navigation, and Zepp AI assistant. There are over 160 workout modes, with strength training and HYROX race options. On top of this, Amazfit estimates the battery life to be 10 days with typical use.
Amazfit has not provided an exact release date in March for the Active 2 smartwatch in the US. The company has also yet to announce when the Active 2 and Active 2 Premium smartwatches will launch in Europe.
