Coros is now pushing its January 2025 Feature update to users of various smartwatches and the Dura solar GPS bike computer. There are several improvements for activities, including the ability to recover deleted workouts. On top of this, there are new low battery warnings and a refreshed homepage for the Dura.

The Coros January 2025 Feature Update is now rolling out to users. The release was announced last month and ushers in new features and improvements relating to activities and paired accessories. There are also some optimizations just for the Dura GPS bike computer (curr. $249 at Amazon).

This release brings are a couple of changes to activities. Firstly, users can now change the activity type linked to a workout even after it has been saved in the Coros app, though there are some limitations. For example, a running, hiking or walking activity could be amended to Run, Track Run, Trail Run, Mountain Climb, Hike or Walk. Similar amends are available for cyclists, but Fitness Tests cannot be altered. Plus, there are additional activity data field metrics, like power-to-weight ratio, and users can now recover activities deleted in the last 30 days.

The release notes indicate that Turn-by-Turn alerts can now be stored as a data field for an activity, which should make it easier to follow your route. Coros says it has optimized paired accessory connections for various smartwatch models and the Dura. As such, you can now customize the name of the accessory and get a notification warning you when the battery is low. Other changes exclusive to Dura include a refreshed homepage, which now displays the time, date, and temperature, as well as a range of new data fields.

You can find the full release notes for the Coros January 2025 Feature Update in the company’s support pages. The update should be installed on your Coros smartwatch or Dura automatically; you can check that you have automatic updates enabled in the Coros app.
