Alldocube launches affordable compact tablet with Android 16 and 90Hz display

Alldocube has officially launched the iPlay Mini 4, a compact Android tablet that is also sold internationally as the iPlay 80 Mini Pro. We previously reported on the company's plans to introduce the device under the iPlay Mini 4 name. It measures just 7.3mm thick and weighs 300 grams.

Its 8.4-inch IPS display has a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate and 450-nit typical brightness. The panel also uses an in-cell touch layer and full lamination. 

For a larger-screen alternative, Alldocube's recently launched iPlay 80 mini Turbo has an 8.8-inch 120Hz display and a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor.

The iPlay Mini 4 tablet comes with a Unisoc T7300 processor, which has two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at up to 2.0 GHz. The 6nm chip is paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS storage, while a microSD card can be used for extra storage. Alldocube says it can score around 650,000 points on AnTuTu.

Android 16 is preinstalled, with support for dual-SIM 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. Navigation features include dual-band GPS, Beidou, Galileo and Glonass.

The three-slot tray can accommodate two nano-SIM cards and a microSD card, although only two slots can be used at once. That means you can use either two SIM cards or one SIM card alongside a microSD card.

A 13 MP rear camera has autofocus and an LED flash, while the front camera uses a 5 MP sensor. The tablet also supports face unlock and has two full-box speakers with a smart amplifier.

The tablet has a 6,050 mAh battery and supports 18 W PD charging through USB-C.

iPlay Mini 4 price and availability

Alldocube has priced the iPlay Mini 4 at CNY 999 (around $148) in China. The JD.com listing currently shows a price of CNY 996, with the 8GB + 128GB International version also available. A Walmart listing for the international model currently shows a price of $208.99.
