Reviews for the Acer Aspire 5 A515-52G-53PU
Acer's 15.6-inch allrounder is a lot more compact, slim and light than its competition. But there is no need to worry about having to trade these features with performance. The device also offers a matte IPS Full HD display, a GeForce MX150 GPU and a quad-core processor of the Whiskey Lake generation.

Acer Aspire 5 (A515-52G) is a device we really wanted to like. Keeping in mind that its predecessor is what we can still point out as one of the best budget multimedia notebooks. Moreover, the A515-52G could easily be successful, if it wasn’t for some major disappointments. First, and probably the most prominent one, is battery life – the Aspire 5 (A515-51G) lasts twice as much as the A515-52G.

NVIDIA GeForce MX150: Pascal GP108 based laptop graphics card and mobile version of the desktop GeForce GT 1030. Offers 384 shader cores and usually 2 GB GDDR5 with a 64 Bit memory bus. Manufactured in 14nm.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

i5-8265U: Whiskey Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Kaby Lake but produced in a further improved 14nm++ process). 15.60":
15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
