Evan Blass has leaked the ASUS ROG Flow Z13, a 2-in-1 with a detachable keyboard. While Blass has not revealed any specifications for the Flow Z13, we can infer a few things from the marketing asset.
For one, it appears that the device has an SD card slot and a USB Type-A port, both lacking from the Surface Pro 8. The button in the top right-hand corner could double as a fingerprint scanner and a power button as well, based on its shape. However, the inclusion of a Type-A port makes the Flow Z13 relatively thick, especially for a tablet. Presumably, ASUS has included at least one USB Type-C port on the other side, as there is no charging method on its right-hand side.
Theoretically, the Flow Z13 has space for a full-sized HDMI connection, but we would recommend waiting for more renders and images to appear before ruling that in or out. Undoubtedly, ASUS has designed the ROG Flow Z13 to compete against the Surface Pro 8. It looks like ASUS has built the device around a 13-inch and 3:2 display too, underlining its Surface Pro credentials. Hopefully, ASUS brings something unique to the table with the ROG Flow Z13, such as a GPU dock in the vein of the ROG Flow X13.
ASUS will announce new laptops at a 'wow the world' event on November 3. Hence, it seems likely that we are only 48 hours away from ASUS unveiling the ROG Flow Z13, along with a host of other devices. ASUS' event will commence at 15:00 UTC.
