Further research reveals that the gaming notebook has been available through online retailers for a few months now in various configurations, including a higher-end RTX 5070 Ti-powered variant.
Slightly edited article continues as follows:
Mechrevo is a well-known Chinese brand specializing in gaming laptops and e-sports hardware. While the company does not directly serve the US and international markets, its products do have a global presence courtesy of retailers such as Aliexpress. Like brands such as Schenker, Mechrevo customizes mostly complete laptop designs developed by Clevo, Tongfang and similar OEMs.
Powerful AMD "Dragon Range" gaming laptops with up to a 300 Hz display
The company's Jiaolong 16 Pro family of gaming laptops sport extremely exciting specifications, particularly for gamers who like fast-paced and competitive gaming. The new high-end gaming laptop configurations that were apparently just introduced to the Chinese market are all equipped with 16-inch displays and the powerful AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX CPU.
With 16 cores and 32 threads, the high-end "Dragon Range" notebook CPU sports commendable performance, keeping up with the newly launched Intel Core Ultra 9 386H "Panther Lake" CPU in Geekbench 6. The equally impressive AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 "Strix Halo" APU is also left behind by a few points. In simpler terms, these new gaming laptops are unlikely to break a sweat in demanding workloads and gaming.
The difference between the variants becomes clear when we look at the GPU and display specs. The pricier units are powered by an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU with 12 GB GDDR7 VRAM, while its more affordable siblings pack an RTX 5070, or slower still, an RTX 5060 Laptop GPU with its 8 GB of VRAM. All of the GPUs feature a 115-watt TGP, but the 5070 Ti variant is likely to be the fastest of the bunch by around 30% or so, when compared with the entry-level RTX 5060-equipped SKU.

As mentioned earlier, the gaming laptop packs a 16-inch QHD display, with the higher-end variants sporting an impressive 300 Hz refresh rate, while the more affordable variants settle for still-respectable 180 Hz panels. Mechrevo claims 100% coverage of the sRGB color gamut and a ΔE of less than 1, which should appease customers who prefer vivid panels. Brightness tops out at 500 nits, which is better than the standard 300-to-400 nits range.
The I/O on offer is quite decent, packing the following ports:
- Triple USB Type-A (10 Gbps)
- Dual USB Type-C (10 Gbps, PD, DP 1.4)
- HDMI 2.1, mini DisplayPort 2.1
- Ethernet
The Mechrevo Jiaolong 16 Pro gaming laptop with a 2K 180 Hz display, 16 GB RAM, and RTX 5060 Laptop GPU is priced at 8,399 Yuan or roughly $1,218. The pricier version with a 300 Hz panel, RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, and the same amount of memory and storage is priced at 9,199 Yuan, or roughly $1,334, while the highest-end SKU with the RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU is priced at 10,986 Yuan or roughly $1,580. Other SKUs are available as well, with the same GPU options but different Ryzen 7000/8000/9000-series CPUs.
A global launch is unlikely, but interested customers can still import the gaming laptop should they wish to do so. Folks who do not want to deal with the hassle of importing, can check out something like the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 10, currently available for $1,733 on Lenovo's official store.
