Xiaomi has finalised a fixed MIUI 12 update for the global version of the Redmi Note 8, according to a new report. The new update will be called V12.0.2.0.QCOMIXM, and is now thought to be arriving before the end of the month.

It has been a few weeks since Xiaomi released V12.0.1.0.QCOMIXM, bringing the global version of the Redmi Note 8 onto MIUI 12. However, the upgrade experience has not been a smooth one for some handsets, primarily for those running V11.0.11.0.QCOMIXM. Those on V11.0.11.0.QCOMIXM were not presented with the inaugural MIUI 12 build, leaving them stranded on MIUI 11.

Xiaomi then urged people to 'please wait patiently and try to update later', before the Mi Tech Team claimed that a fixed build would arrive in December. Now, Adimorah Blog claims that V12.0.2.0.QCOMIXM has been finalised and is ready for distribution.

The website now believes that Xiaomi will release V12.0.2.0.QCOMIXM ahead of its December schedule. If that is the case, then we should expect a fixed build to arrive next week, or a week on Monday at the latest. Xiaomi will probably give no warning as to when it plans to release V12.0.2.0.QCOMIXM mind you.
